What is Street Keys and Why Does it Exist? Street Keys is a place for consumers to purchase transponder keys on the net. All of our customers have one thing in common – a strong distaste for their local automotive dealerships’ lack of service and high prices. Dealerships have attempted to convince them that only they have the expensive computers to make duplicate keys. This may also be reinforced by the one or two locksmiths that they happen to call first out of the phone book that don’t do transponder keys. Some are persistent enough to find a locksmith with the right equipment while others give up and pony up at the dealership. A small but growing percentage is searching for alternatives on the net. What is the Goal of Street Keys? Street Keys strives to provide customers with an alternative to the dealerships while taking the “pain” out of the search. Our goals are ambitious. We hope to develop a database that shows who owns a MVP / T-CODE / CODESEEKER / SDD / TKO / NGS. We want to know if you’ve got an RW3 / QUICKCODE / REPLI-CODE / ETD-1 and whether or not you do Tibbe or High-Security Keys. We want to know if you’ve got a shop or are strictly mobile, or both. We’d like to know your preferred hours of operation and the days you want customers sent to your shop. We want to know all of this information with the aim of connecting you with a customer in need of your capabilities. We’re not arrogant enough to expect this information to come easily and we’re going to do whatever is required to earn your trust. Is Street Keys a National Service Provider (NSP)? We understand that the locksmith profession has been burned in the past by NSPs, and so we’ve designed the company to be just the opposite: the ANTI-NSP. How are we the ANTI-NSP? 1) No Emergency Calls. We assign jobs at least three days in advance giving you ample time to prepare. We’ll fax you all the information that you’ll need well in advance of the job – year / make / model of the vehicle, number of working keys, number and model of key blanks and any on-board programming procedures (if requested). 2) Fast Payment. We pay by credit card or check. We provide the credit card number up front during assignment of the job (if requested). We cut checks twice a month so you never have to wait more than 14 days to get paid. 3) No Monthly Fees or Contracts. You pay nothing. We don’t require a contract. You decide which jobs to take on and which ones to turn down. How Does This Work? All of our customers will have at least one working key. They’ll also be coming with key blanks provided by Street Keys. We’re looking for locksmiths to duplicate the key and program it in. Some of the locksmiths that we’ve worked with have never programmed a transponder key, while others that have completed jobs for us carry a full arsenal of programming equipment. Either way, with the help of our locksmiths, we’ve successfully steered customers away from the dealerships. How Much Does it Pay? We make sure we provide all pertinent information for you to accurately price the job. You name your price. If your price exceeds the customer’s not to exceed price, then we’re obligated to search further or cancel the job. The customer’s not to exceed price is the same price you see on the website www.streetkeys.com. Yes, we’re prepared to not make a single penny from the key cutting and programming if that’s what it takes to earn your affiliation. With each job comes the opportunity to up sell other products and services. And upon completion of the job, this becomes YOUR customer for future jobs and referrals. How many keys are covered under the quoted initial activation costs? You can activate 2 keys with the initial quoted activation cost. For additional keys it will be an additional 25% of the activation cost per key. At the end of the day, Street Keys is a source for new customers.
